KNDisney - Beauty and the Beast

my new project for the summer, to make sure that I practice drawing these next couple months. I've been planning to watch all my old Disney movies in order just to relive my childhood, while at the same time, appreciating how animation has changed since 1937

so here's the first installation of said project: kndisney...yeah, I know, silly, right? oh well, I thought it'd be fun. plus, I know that a few people have already done this, most notably . still, I wanted to do my own version of things.

so I present to you the first animated film to ever win the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Beauty and the Beast! it is the third movie produced during the Disney renaissance (the other two being the little mermaid and The Rescuers: Down Under, which I decided to skip 'cause none of the sequels actually suit my fancy. but had the idea to use wally as cody for it, which was a good idea, except I really didn't wanna sit through it. sorry

anyway, paulagirl93 did a beauty and the beast picture a few years ago with kuki and wally, so that was my headcannon from way before I even started this series. but besides wanting to be original, I don't have the creative brainpower to turn wally into a beast, so I decided that I would only imply that he's the beast. so I was searching for a good scene to draw out, when I got to the part where gaston and le fou have the entire town outside belle's house, demanding that Maurice be sent to the asylum and then belle starts arguing with gaston. don't ask how, but my brain somehow translated that to operation h.o.m.e. with kuki's "my first rainbow monkey." so now she's arguing nurse Claiborne about how she won't let her rainbow monkey be taken to a nursing home...yeah
